Aldrei datt mér í hug að einhver í útlöndum færu að semja lög um Ísland og skíra það svo Iceland en það eru víst 3 sem hafa gert það og eru textarnir hver öðrum asnalegri. Sá asnalegasti var þó textinn við lag sem hljómsveitin The Fall gaf frá sér hér um árið og er það hljómsveit sem ég hef greinilega misst af. Hann hljómar svona:

Gæðatexti út í eitt. Svo eftir textann kemur lýsing um Megas og þar er sagt að hann sé dópisti sem vinni á bryggju og hafi ekki komið opinberlega fram síðan 1981 eftir að almenningur útskúfaði hann úr samfélaginu. Café Iol er svo sagður vera aðalskemmtistaður hljómsveitarinnar MES sem örugglega fáir hafa heyrt um. Ég held að gaurarnir sem sömdu þetta hafi verið á miiiiikilli sýru þegar þeir sömdu texta sína. Gaman væri svo að fá að heyra þetta mjög svo skemmtilega lag einhvern tímann.



Tónlist þeirra er augljóslega svo flókin og torskilin að það þurfti að búa til leiðsögubækling til þess eins að skilja hana. Hoj!
